Oh wow, this was a surprise. I rate this beautiful novel with 4.5 stars. I was missing a bit of an emotional connection for 5*, but it was perfect nonetheless. I was loving this book from the beginning.
The characters are exceptionally lovable, funny and overall great. Jacob and Brit are really something, it would be interesting seing them in RL lol.
"I would be clapping like a seal right now if I weren't so fucking hungover, just so you know. Inside I am doing happy jumping jacks for you with glittery pom poms."
I loved the playfulness and the energy between Cam and Avery. I really liked that their relationship wasn't developing too fast, that they were building it gradually. Cam is an oh-so-perfect book boyfriend.
This great book came to me just when I needed it and I reaaaaaaally enjoyed reading it. I've had J.L.'s Lux series on my TBR list for a couple of months now, and after reading Wait for me, I can't wait to start reading them, because I positively like her writing.
Everything was okay. Maybe not perfect, but life wasn't meant to be perfect. It was messy and sometimes it was a disaster, but there was beauty in the messiness and there could be peace in the disaster.
